Born in Barberton, where he was a life resident, Pete retired from PPG Industries with more than 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Pete was a proud Marine Corps veteran having served during World War II.
Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; a son, Pete; and siblings, John, Jim, Mary Lou, Joanne and Bill.
Surviving are children, David Beck of Norton, Donna Menendez of Uniontown, Sandra Kellar of Barberton and Paul Beck of Orrville; grandchildren, Gregory (Julie) Menendez, Douglas (Katie) Menendez, Stephanie (Dave) Seccombe, Matthew Beck and Amber Beck; six great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Beck; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to Pete's Visiting Angels, Gina and Brenda; and Angie, his health aide for the care given to their father.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 22 at 10 a.m. at Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Road, West, Barberton. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
