STREATOR — John W. Oller, 76, of Streator, passed away Monday, June 17, at St. Mary's Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 22, at Elias Funeral Home. The Rev. Jane Esterline, of Park Presbyterian Church, will officiate and conduct graveside services at St. Stephen Cemetery, Streator. Serving as pallbearers will be family members and friends. Full military rites, including honor guard, taps and flag folding, will be provided by members of Leslie G. Woods American Legion Post 217 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1492. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Elias Funeral Home.
Born Feb. 13, 1937, in Streator, he was the son of Wilbur and Audrey (Senton) Oller. He married Jacqueline Oller on June 14, 1957. She died Feb. 8, 2004.
He is survived by his children, Daniel (Susan) Oller, of Streator, John (Virginia) Oller, of Rockford, and Suzette Oller, of DeKalb; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Elsie Chorak, of Florida; close friend, Carol Gula, of Streator; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife; daughter, Mary Ann Rodriguez; grandson, Mark Oller, in infancy; and a sister, Shar Bellis.
He worked at Streator Brick for more than 30 years. He served in the United States Army.
He was a member of American Legion and Streator Moose Lodge.
