A most loving and faith-filled wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on the 16th of June, 2013, at her home in New Roads.
A life-long New Roads resident, she was born on September 9, 1950 to parents Marshall L. ("Slim") Gosserand, Jr. and Jeanette Major Gosserand.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Louis E. ("Bubbie") Fields, Jr. and sons Thomas T. Fields and wife Brandy of LaFayette and Spencer H. Fields and wife Heather of New Roads; grandchildren: Mary, Tommi, Emily, Andrea and IsaBelle; brothers: Marshall L. Gosserand III, Paul Gosserand, Steve Gosserand and Thomas Gosserand; sister: Holly G. Crosby.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marie ("Shootie") Gosserand, and her twin sister, Joan G. Bizette. She was a graduate of Catholic High School of Pointe Coupee and a member of St. Mary's of False River Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary's of False River Catholic Church in New Roads on Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.
Entombment will be in St. Mary's of False River Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Gosserand, Morgan Gosserand, Grantt Crosby, Tyler Gosserand, Jared Gosserand and Andrew Fields.
