Pearl E Maurer, age 89, of 81 Deep Creek Rd, Hegins, Pa, died Sunday, March 28, 2004, at the Brandywine Hospital, Coatesville, Pa.

Born in Weishample,Pa., February 13, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Maude (Kessler) Klinger.

She was a seamstress at the former Philmark Mfg. and also along with her late husband operated a family farm.

She was a member of the Church of God, Valley View, and the Tri-Valley Senior Citizens. She enjoyed winters in Ft. Myers Florida.

Her husband Clarence Maurer died in 1989.

She was preceded in death by a son Richard Maurer; by five brothers, Allen, Gurney, Stanley, Calvin, and Clair Klinger; and by three sisters, Irene Ludwig, Laura Kissinger, and Dora Ebert.

Surviving are two sons; Ronald Maurer, Corning, NY, and Roger Maurer, Lancaster, Pa.; a daughter, Susan Englebert, Elverson, Pa.; and a sister, Verna Shuey, Mt. Joy, Pa. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 1, 2004, from the Church of God, Valley View, with the Rev. Gerald Frey officiating.

A viewing was held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church.

Burial was made in the Church of God Cemetery, Valley View, Pa.
