Charles E. Fraser, 70, of Oil Trough died Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at his home.

He was born in Pine Bluff, AR on July 11, 1942 and was the son of C. E. Fraser and Marie (Ruthledge) Fraser.

He was a member of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association, a lifetime member of the Arkansas Activities Association, and was a basketball official for over 30 years. He was a retired teacher and taught at Bradford, Sulphur Rock, and Oil Trough. After retirement, he farmed. Charles was a member of the Oil Trough Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Linda (Finley) Fraser of Oil Trough; a son, Chuck Fraser of Oil Trough; a daughter, Pepsi McCoy and her husband, Pat, also of Oil Trough; seven grandchildren: Laken McCoy, Ashland McCoy, Madelyn Fraser, Chase Fraser, Landon Fraser, Skylar Fraser, and Jacob Andrews; a brother, Roy Reap and his wife, Pricilla of Alexandria, LA. He is also survived by sisters-in-law: Sue Goodman (Gary), and Barbara Finley; special cousins: Billie and Rosie Morrow, officiating friends: Rick Roberson, Dean Hastings, Randy Bolin; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jerry Fraser; and his Godparents Kenneth and Cledith Fraser.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Oil Trough Church of Christ with Sam Beasley and Dean Fugett officiating. Burial will follow at Brown Cemetery in Union Hill under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.

Pallbearers will be Delmar Deason, Junior Miller, Thad Franks, Boyd Shirley, Charles Allen Borrow, and Russell Flower. Honorary pallbearers are the men of the Oil Trough Church of Christ.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Scholarship Fund for Graduating Students of Cedar Ridge School District, c/o of Citizens Bank, PO Box 2156, Batesville, AR 72503 and also c/o Merchant and Planters Bank, 595 Vine Street, Newark, AR 72562 in honor of his teaching.
