Age 84, passed away in her home. Mona was the daughter of Andrew and Anne (Clark) Powers in Shell Lake, WI. She attended Spooner and Footville grade school, and graduated from Janesville High School in 1946. Mona married Reinhard Mielke Aug. 17, 1946, in Dubuque, IA. She and her husband farmed on Townsend Rd, Janesville, from 1947 to 1970, when they moved to Footville. She was employed by Amphenol Controls and Borg Instruments for 35 years, where she served many capacities such as Production Control Specialist, Engineering Assistant, Administration Assistant, Secretary to the Company President and Personnel Manager. She was preceded in death by her husband; six sons; her mother; step-dads, Alvin "Speed" Kjelland and Dominic Villella; one brother, Joel Kjelland; and one grandson, Mark D. Mielke. Mona and Reinie had six great sons, all of whom are deceased; Mark in 1990, Reinhard, Jr. 2006, Lyle 2007, Gus 2007, Guy 2009, and Kurt 2011.
