"Amy Loretta Buchanan Ence died in the Sevier Valley hospital May 7, of a lingering illness.

"She was born September 6, 1873, in Glenwood, Utah, a daughter of Archibald W. and Mary Ann Brown Buchanan. She married Alma Ence November 22, 1893, in the Manti temple. He died July 24, 1943. Except for the first two years of their married life, they have resided in Richfield.

"Mrs. Ence serviced 35 years with the MIA, serving 9 years as president of the First ward MIA. She was stake Beekeeper for 14 years and was also a member of the DUP.

"Survivors are Mrs. Lucille Johnson, Layton; Mrs. Mabel Evans, Phoenix, Arizona; Mrs. Fern Baker, Mrs. Rula Frank and Mrs. Maurine Thurston, Richfield; 21 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 9 half brothers and sisters: Mrs. Myrl Brugger, Mrs. Ethel Breinholt, Mr. Archie Buchanan, Venice; Mrs. Lila Poole, Annabella; Mrs. Edna B. Croft, Mesa, Arizona; Mary Black, Los Angeles, Cal.; Carl Buchanan, Blackfoot, Idaho; Earl Buchanan, Tremonton; Theda Oldroyd, Lyman.

"Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the First ward chapel. Burial will be in the Richfield cemetery."
