Mary was born in Braxton County, W.Va., to Cochie Russel and Kassie Ann Matilda (née Brady) Stout. Mary had lived in New Jersey, Akron, Mogadore and Daytona Beach, Fla. before moving to Ashland in 1998.
Mary was an artist and was involved in numerous art shows over the years.
While living in Ashland, she attended Grace Brethren Church and had been attending chapel at The Good Shepherd.
She enjoyed art, woodcrafts and sewing.
On July 12, 1945, Mary married Lewis Anthony Ripa, who preceded her in death March 24, 2004.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lou (Thomas) Molyneaux of Ashland; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Renava Priddy of W.Va., Pearlie Shannon of California and Emogene Juchnivwicz of Canton; and one brother, Franklin Stout of Frametown, W.Va.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and three brothers.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2013 at Denbow-Primm-Kemery Funeral Home with Pastor Julie Thoms officiating. Burial will be at Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call during the hour before services Friday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer Wing at The Good Shepherd, 622 Center St., Ashland, Ohio 44805.
