Darrell Dean Hudson passed away peacefully on June 15, 2013 at age 77 in Sedro-Woolley, WA.

Darrell was born in Council Grove Kansas Sept. 27, 1935 to Benjamin and Edna Hudson.

The family moved to Washington in the late 40's. They eventually settled in Everett.

Darrell served in the Army Reserve and received an honorable discharge.

Darrell (Rocky) worked for the railroad, then Texaco Refinery. He retired in 1991. Darrell served as shop steward and as unit chairman representing the members of the OCAW.

He was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the school and church board; he also took part in the Sedro Woolley School Dist.

Darrell married Lenora Davidson in December 1955. They had 4 children: Judy (Brian) Eiden - Fairbanks, Alaska; Shelly (Warren) Holden, Mount Vernon WA; Frances (Michael) Beranbaum, Snohomish WA; Teresa Hudson. Darrell has 9 grandchildren Erica Ferguson-Johns significant other (Jairus Alder), Matt Holden, Mike (Laurie) Holden, Zack Wiegand, Melissa Holden, Travis (Stephanie) Wiegand, Holly (Justin) Ratley, Haley Beranbaum, Elyse Beranbaum, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Darrell is survived by his wife, daughters, grandchildren, sister Wanda Haugstad, brothers Walter Hudson and Kent Hudson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Edna; daughter, Teresa Hudson; and brother, Leland Hudson.

He enjoyed fishing, boating, duck hunting, clamming, crabbing and traveling. He enjoyed hunting and gathering agates. He also enjoyed watching the Seattle Mariners.

A special thanks and appreciation to: Karen McDaniel and the COPS Program, JoVan Hernandes for his years of help and to all the care givers at Meiers Manor and Hospice for their compassionate care. Thanks to Dr. Lucia Muller for her many years of care.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Huntington's Disease Society of America www.hdsa.org - online, or mail donation to HDSA 505 Eighth Avenue Suite 902 New York, NY 10018. Donation forms will also be available at the service.

Memorial service will be held at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2015 E. Blackburn Mount Vernon WA - 1:00 pm - Friday, June 28th 2013. Reception to follow.
