She was the daughter of the late Lowell L. Toler and Mae Davis Toler Makros.
Jo, as she was known, loved a good joke, a turn on the dance floor, and had a generous nature and was loyal to her many friends. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Beckley, WV, in 1951. She worked at the Hinton Hospital for a short time before marrying and moving to Barberton, Ohio, where she lived for nearly three decades.
In 1982, she and husband, Kelly Sizemore moved back to Saulsville, WV. Kelly and Jo spend many summers at their camp at Bass Lake entertaining friends, until his death in 1999, at which time, Jo moved to Bellepoint. They were long time members of the First Baptist Church of Hinton.
Jo is survived by her daughter, Myra Hogan of Hinton, son Joseph Hogan (Ralph Bruneau) of Los Angeles, CA, one grandson, Bryn Johnson of Olympia, WA, and half-brother, Randy Toler (Marie Toler) of Goose Creek, SC, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Lois L. Lott (“Jack” Lott) and brother, James T. Toler (Hazel Toler) and stepdaughter, Donna R. Sizemore Tyree.
Jo spent almost ten years at the Summers Nursing and Rehab Center, in Hilldale, where she was loved and well cared for by the nursing staff and Hospice.
Funeral Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum, at 3:00 p.m., Monday, July 1, 2019 with Pastor Butch Honaker officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, in Beckley, WV
