John A. Gadd, 84, of Berea, died Friday, June 22, 2007, in his home.
John was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W.II and a retiree of Continental Metals. John was a member of the Baptist Faith and loved to be outside working in his garden.
John is preceded in death by: his parents, Rufford and Lue Robinson Gadd; and his wife, Ruby Campbell Gadd. John was also preceded in death by: three brothers and a sister, William Henry, Rube, Goldie and Little Charlie.
John is survived by: his two sons, Carl William Gadd of Florida, and Ronnie (Jean) Gadd of Berea; three sisters also survive John, Viley Thomason of California, Frances Hale and Irene Smith, both of Berea; four grandchildren, Lee Gadd, Justin Gadd, David Isaacs and Adam Gadd; and two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Bethany Isaacs. John is also survived by his special friend Nora Poynter.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2007, at Lakes Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Himes officiating. Burial will be in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Lakes Funeral Home.
