Jed W. Menlove died February 2, 2000 while hiking in the mountains he loved.
He was born Oct. 13, 1981 to Alan and Connie Wood Menlove in Murray, Utah. Jed was a strong, sensitive and caring son and kind and gentle brother. He was the best "Big Brother.
" He was a hero, protector and friend to his brothers and sisters. He was a great role model for them. He had an adventurous soul and loved to camp, hike, rock climb and snow board. Jed had a brilliant smile, infectious laugh and a great sense of humor that endeared him to old and young alike. He was everyone's best friend.
He is survived by his parents; brothers, Jeff, Marv (Ruth), Todd (Gayle), Wade; and sisters, Emily, Alicia and Amanda; also his grandparents, Cleon and Ida Menlove; numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends throughout the Salt Lake Valley. Preceded in death by Charles and Bertha Wood.
Family will receive friends Sun., February 6, 2000 from 5-7 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 7, 2000 at the Cottonwood Creek Stake House located at 1535 East Creek Road (7830 S.), Sandy, Utah. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the funeral. Burial, Murray City Cemetery.
