Mr. Jay Scott Stewart, 50, a native of Waynesburg, PA and resident of Thomasville, AL died June 14, 2013 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was a sandblaster and painter. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Furman Leroy Stewart and niece, Jenny Stewart. He is survived by his mother, Jo Doggette; two sons, Jason Stewart and Caleb Stewart; brother, Randy (Shelby) Stewart; sisters, Kelly (Robin) Lynch and Brenda Byrd; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the 12 pm Funeral Service on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church with Rev. David Cook officiating. Pallbearers will be Cecil Langley, John Kent, Eric Barnett, Mike Jerrell, Karl McMullen and Jeff Goodman. Interment will be in Mt. Vernon Community Cemetery.
