Funeral services held on Monday with Rev. James G. Miller officiating
Charles Lamper died at his home in Conewango Friday morning, March 24, at 5:30 o'clock after an illness of about three months duration.
Born at Conewango September 10, 1864, Mr. Lamper was the son of Alonzo and Huldah Pritchard Lamper. .......... Pritchard families were early and respected residents of the Town of Conewango.
Mr. Lamper had lived in the vicinity of Conewango all his life. For the past five years he had been janitor at the Conewango school. He was a favorite with the school children in whom he took a great interest.
Mr. Lamper and Miss Sara Darling were married September 30, 1882. Mrs. Lamper and one son, Dana, survive.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon from the home with Rev. James G. Miller of Jamestown, pastor of the Conewango Presbyterian church, officiating.
Bearers were Jason Gould, C. Brown, H. Brown, L. Chapman, Russel Darling and Donald Archer. Burial was in the family plot in Rutledge cemetery.
Coming from a distance to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. George Hollister of Canadea, Mrs. Mayme M. Kraft of Corydon, Pa., and Mr. and Mrs. Gleason Sheldon and son of Cherry Creek.
