Mrs. Ridgill was born in Hemingway, a daughter of the late Rev. Charles Dewey Huggins, Sr. and Rena Cox Huggins. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Manning.
Surviving are three sons, Rev. William H. "Bill" Tanner, Jr. of Summerville, Benny C. Tanner of North Charleston, and Guerry R. Tanner of Myrtle Beach; a daughter, Janet L. McMillan of Greer; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Catherine H. Fleming of Manning; and three brothers, Harry V. Huggins of Hemingway, Thomas B. Huggins of Columbia, and Richard E. Huggins of Garden City.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, in the chapel of Morris Funeral Home in Hemingway. Interment will follow in Old Johnsonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home
