Norma "Tiny" Conner, 78, of Ina, died Monday morning, June 2, 2008, at her home. She was born in Ina on Oct. 28, 1929, the daughter of Henry Gilmore and Hazel Mar-zetta (Webber) Dunbar. She married Richard Conner on May 5, 1945, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 2001. Mrs. Conner was a member of the Ina Missionary Baptist Church. She was supervisor of Spring Garden Township for many years. Mrs. Conner is survived by three daughters, JoAnn Joy and husband Ron of Ina, Norma "Sissy" Henning and husband Kim of Effingham and Becky Spenner and husband Joel of Mooresville, N.C.; grandchildren, Barry Joy and wife Lisa of Mt. Vernon, Kris Ding and husband Walter of Champaign, Beth Lundius and husband Greg of Ina, Andy Spenner and wife Shana of Mooresville, N.C., Ben Henning and wife Anna of O'Fallon, Ill., Adam Spenner of Mooresville, N.C., Lauren Spenner of Mooresville, N.C., and Lindsay Spenner of Mooresville, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Naomi Still, Becca Fox, Conner Lundius, Hannah Lundius, Gunner Lundius, Alex Joy, Tyler Adams, Caitlin Joy, Grant Garrett, Jordyn Spenner, Emily Spenner and twin great-grandsons due in September; two great-great-grandsons, Noam and Cyrus, and a great-great-grandson due in August; brothers and sisters, Laura Hoffman of Hoopeston, Mary Ruth Hammonds of Ina, June Ward of Ina, Robert Dunbar and wife Norma of Ina and Darrell Dunbar and wife Diane of Christopher; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Conner was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a sister, Marjorie Bellamy; brother, Burton Dunbar; and by three infant brothers, Ronald, Donald and Billie. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Johnston Funeral Home in Ina with the Rev. Dale Burzynski officiating. Burial will be in the Kirk Cemetery in Ina. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home in Ina. For those who wish, memorials in Mrs. Conner's memory may be made to the Ina Missionary Baptist Church.
