Thelma Josephine Barnes
May 20, 1927 – June 11, 2013
Thelma Josephine Barnes, 86, New Enterprise, died Tuesday at Altoona Regional after a brief illness.
She was born in Woodbury, daughter of the late Robb Snyder and Thelma Josephine (Stock) Wareham.
Surviving are a son, George W. Ebersole and wife, Cathy, of Roaring Spring; two grandchildren: George P. Ebersole in Hawaii and Jennifer Lynn Ebersole of Roaring Spring; and a great-grandson, Simon "Nash" Ebersole of Roaring Spring.
She was preceded in death by five siblings: Betty Oneil, Pauline Hann, Margaret Hann, George Wareham and John Wareham.
Josephine was a 1945 graduate of Woodbury High School. She was a member of Barley Lutheran Church, Bakers Summit, and she enjoyed genealogy, quilting, sewing and gardening.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013, in Dry Hill Cemetery, Woodbury, by Pastor Roy Steward.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Josephine's memory may be given to the Blair County Genealogical Society, 431 Scotch Valley Road, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648, or Goodwill Industries, 207 Park Hills Plaza, Altoona, PA, 16602.
