A 1963 graduate of Somerset High School and 1966 graduate of Massachusetts Maritime Academy, 15-year Lieutenant Commander in 1982 and subsequent service in the Naval Reserve, retiring as Commander in 1992, Veteran of Vietnam and Gulf War.
