BOISE CITY, Okla. — Lawrence Eugene "Geno" Boyd, 86, of Boise City died Thursday, June 13, 2013, in Amarillo, Texas.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Wheeless Baptist Church in Wheeless with Jerry Rice and Leon Apple officiating. Burial will be in Wheeless Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cimarron Mortuary of Boise City.

Mr. Boyd was born June 1, 1927, in Dalhart, Texas, to Lawrence and Dovie Tanner Boyd. He married Ann Wood on Oct. 2, 2000, in Stratford, Texas.

Survivors include his wife; his children, Carolyn Marie Guzman of Amarillo, Jim Boyd of Pampa, Texas, and Judy Nelson of Oklahoma City; a sister, Ema Gene Caldwell of Trinchera, Colo.; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; seven stepchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Boise City Senior Citizens Center, in care of the mortuary, P.O. Box 277, Boise City, OK 73933.
