Deborah "Debbie" (Arzt) Allard, 54, of Tolland, wife of the late Richard "Dick" Allard, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2013 with her family at her side.
Born in Hartford, Debbie was the daughter of Wilfred Arzt of Broad Brook and the late Rinalda "Rena" (Brengi) Arzt. Debbie grew up and lived in East Windsor before moving to Tolland 24 years ago. She was a graduate of East Windsor High School, Class of 1977, and she also graduated from Manchester Community College in 1979. Debbie was employed at David E. Palozej Eyecare Associates in Tolland for the past twelve years. She loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed watching QVC, HSN, and country music videos.
In addition to her father, Debbie is survived by her sisters, Nanette Fryxell and her husband Alvin Jr. of Windsor, and Sharon Mather and her husband Gary of East Windsor; her niece and goddaughter, Stephanie Mather; her nephews, Richard Mather, Alvin Fryxell III, and Christopher Fryxell. She also leaves her aunt, Betty Wanda of Broad Brook, and her uncle, Robert Brengi and his wife Judith of Windsor Locks, and many cousins.
Her family will receive friends for calling hours on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 5 – 8 PM at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery, Rockville.
