Grace Carl-Pearson
Grace Carl-Pearson, 85, of Allentown, entered into eternal life at her home on Tuesday, November 17, 2009. She and her husband, Merritt C. Pearson, originally of Hellertown shared more than 31 years together. She was born March 3, 1924 in Allentown, daughter of late Charles C. and Ester (Eisenbach) Fronheiser. She graduated from Allen High School in 1943 and was married to the late George R. Carl also of Allentown, the same year. The two resided in Albuquerque, N.M. for 16 years before returning to Allentown in 1967. She was employed by Kirtland Air Force base, Albuquerque, before returning to Allentown where she was employed by Sacred Heart Hospital until retiring in 1989. She loved oil painting, card clubs, movies, reading, traveling and was an avid history buff but most of all she loved being around friends and family. Those of us left behind will love and cherish her in our memories. Survivors: Her husband, Merritt C. Pearson of Allentown; daughter, Diane Gaydos and her husband, Paul, of Fremont, Ohio; two sons, Jeffrey Carl and his wife, Susan, of Santa Rosa, Calif., Michael Carl and his wife, Kelly, of Quakertown; nine grandchildren, Jason Carl of Santa Rosa, Calif., Gwendolyn Gaydos of Boston, Mass., Rory Gaydos of Columbus, Ohio, Christian, Kalin, Michael, Emma, Joshua and Selah of Quakertown; eight great-grandchildren. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Saturday, November 21 at 1:30 p.m. in Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church in the Narthex, Cedar Crest Boulevard and I-78, Allentown, where the family will receive friends from 1-1:30 p.m.
