They resided at Sioux Falls before moving to Vermillion about 1 ½ years before John's death.

Brown, 55, were at 2 p.m. Friday, June 7, 1963, at the Elmore-Wagner Funeral Home in Vermillion. Reverend Austin Shelton officiated. Survivors of John besides the widow included three sons, Walter of Sioux Falls, LeRoy and Larry, both of Vermillion; two daughters, Miss Laura Brown of Sioux Falls, and Mrs. Audrey (Brown) Falk of Ogden, Utah, and his mother Mrs. Elvina Kluin of Vermillion; three brothers, Ernest and Sidney Brown, and Donald Buol, all of Sioux Falls; three sisters, Mrs. Lester Gray (Ida) of Vermillion, Mrs. Pearl Matteucci of Chicago, and Mrs. Dorothy (Buol) Curry in California; and two grandchildren.
