Mrs. Jessie V. Rezac, 71, of Emmett, died Saturday, April 9, at a nursing home in Burlington. The daughter of Julius and Sadie Fairchild Kenworthy, she was born May 31, 1911 in Vermillion. She was employed as city clerk of Emmett for 23 years and was bookkeeper at Holy Cross Church in Emmett for 15 years. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Jolly Workers Club, both in Emmett. She was married to Leo V. Walsh, April 19, 1930. He died July 26, 1947. She was married to Francis D. Rezac, January 19, 1961. He died November 16, 1967. Survivors include a son, Leo Walsh, Manhattan; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Briggs, Cameron, N.C., Mrs. Beverly Miller, Burlington, and Mrs. Margaret Sue Johnson, Emmett; three sisters, Mrs. Eldora McGrath, Emmett, Mrs. Leona Rose, Louisville, and Mrs. Alma Modin, Topeka; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial was at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Emmett. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys.
