Age 88 of Sun City, California, entered eternity on Monday, June 10, 2013. She entered life on Sunday, August 3, 1924 in New Bern, North Carolina as the daughter of the late Veston Stewart and the late Bessie Bratcher Stewart. Evelyn and Morgan moved to Sun City twenty-five years ago and soon became a volunteer with the Crime Watch and a member of Valley Church of Christ. In 1997, she was preceded in death by her husband, Morgan. They had shared 51 years together. Surviving are 2 sons, Robert Courtney and Ken Courtney and his wife, Isabel; and grandson, Brian Courtney. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at the Miller-Jones Chapel in Sun City. A funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 20th in the Valley Church of Christ located at 29035 Del Monte Dr. in Menifee.
