MRS. EMMA PLUMMER, AGE 92, DIES; SERVICES ON WEDNESDAY
Mrs. Emma Plummer, 92, died at 10:15 p.m. Saturday at Meadowvale Care Center due to complications of her age. She had been in failing health the past five years.
Born March 17, 1899 in Antiock, Ky., she was a daugher of Leonard and Iona Pullam Scrogham. Her marriage to John Plummer, who died March 15, 1967, took place Dec. 24, 1915 in Coldwater, Mich.
Mrs. Plummer was retired after 20 years in the credit department of Sears-Roebuck and formerly lived in Fort Wayne.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Wilmer (Lucille) Biberstein of Bluffton; a son, Paul L. Plummer of Syracuse; two brothers, Vilas Scrogham of Fort Wayne and Fred Scrogham of Middlebury; 11 grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m.. Tuesday at Goodwin Memorial Chapel, where services will be conducted by Rev. Charles Fountain at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will follow in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.
Preferred memorials are to the charity of the donor's choice.
