Winnie LeFevre Young, 84, died Tuesday, February 7, 1995 in Murray.

She was born in Minersville, Utah, June 29, 1910 to George and Margaret LeFevre. She was valedictorian of her graduating class and an honor student at BAC which is now SUU. On October 17, 1929 she married George E. (Buck) Young in the Logan Temple. She was George's sweetheart for sixty-two years. He died September 20, 1987. A member of the LDS Church, she served as a visiting teacher (fifty years), dance director, Primary teacher and secretary, Sunday School teacher, YWMIA teacher and stake board member. She and her husband were missionaries in the Alberta-Saskatchewan Mission and were temple workers for nearly ten years in the Manti Temple. She was honored by the Young Women in her stake as one "Worth of Imitation". She was active in the Richfield Culture Club for many years and served as president, secretary-treasurer, parliamentarian and was Sanpete-Sevier District Director for four years. In 1971 she was nominated as a candidate for State Clubwoman of the Year. Other organizations include the Knife and Fork Club and the American Cancer Society.

Survived by three daughters: Karene Higgins, Bountiful; Sherrie Edwards (Marlynn), Salt Lake City; and Lynnette Young (Richard), Lewiston, Idaho; 16 grandchildren; and thirty-five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Her many interests included: gardening, cooking, decorating her home, fashion and make-up, physical fitness and nutrition. She loved being with her friends and she said her family brought her the most joy in life.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11, 1995 at 12 noon in the Magleby & Sons Mortuary, 50 South 100 West, Richfield, Utah, where friends may call Saturday morning from 10-11:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment - Richfield City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary.
