Curtis Lee Tate, 79, died at his home on North Lincoln Avenue Tuesday night after a long illness.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 this morning at the Higgins Funeral Home here, with the Rev. C. B. Smith officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Tate was a son of the late William Vance and Ruth Alexander Tate, and was a native of Lincoln County. He was a famer and dairyman until his retirement. He was a member of the Beech Grove Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maymie Boaz Tate; two sons, Malcolm L. Tate and Robert Vance Tate, both of Fayetteville; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
