Miss Maggie E. Wise, 44, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wise, of near Spurlington, died at the home of her parents Friday, April 15, at 10:30 p.m. She was born in this county April 26, 1893. Miss Wise made a profession of her faith in Christ early in life and united with the Palestine Baptist Church of which she remained a devoted member. Besides her mother and father, she is survived by one brother, Delmar Wise, and four sisters, Mrs. Nannie Colvin, Mrs. Nettie Farmer, Miss Mary Wise and Miss Helen Wise, all of this county, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at the home Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. R. A. Slinker officiating. Burial followed in the family cemetery. Pallbearers were Elias, Ike, Sam, Johnnie B., Chester and Walter Wise. Flower girls included Ruby and Pauline Colvin, Ester Veatch, and Ruth Farmer.
