From the Greenfield Vedette - March 20, 1902 -- Mrs. Mary M. Jones, known as "Aunt Pop," died at the home of her son-in-law E.P. Shrum, on the Bailey farm near Antioch, on March 5th, in her 91st year. Mrs. Jones was born in Monroe County, Kentucky, November 2, 1811, was married to William Jones in 1830, and with him came to Dade County in 1856. She was a consistent member of the Christian church for 70 years. She was the mother of 11 children, five of whom survive her, and her immediate descendants include 50 grandchildren, 92 great-grandchildren, there being in all 153 of the family at the present time. The remains were interred at Antioch on March 6th, services being conducted by Elder Smith of Mt. Vernon.
