CHARLES MILTON DARLING
Charles Milton Darling, 52, of Owego Rd., Candor, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 24, at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, Pa. Mr. Darling had operated the Darling Garage in Candor since 1946. He also worked as a mechanic for Agway of Owego.
Mr. Darling was a member of the Baptist Church of Union, N.Y. He was a member of Candor Lodge #411 F.& A.M. of Candor and Candor Grange #1466.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes M. Darling; two sons, Richard I. and Charles F. Darling, all of Candor; a daughter, Mrs. Carol Pichany of St. Petersburg, Gla., his mother, Mrs. Eva Beardsley of Candor; a brother, Clarence Darling of Chicago, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Erford Jackson of Binghamton; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, at the Allen Funeral Home, Candor. Rev. Urban F. Cline, pastor of Allen Memorial Church, Candor officiated. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor.
