MARBLEHEAD- Priscilla G. (Sylvain) Henderson, 84, of Marblehead, died Sunday afternoon, January 27, 2002 following a brief illness.

She was born in Rochester, New Hampshire, the daughter of the late Albina (Nadeau) Sylvain and Eudor J. Sylvain. She was the wife of Everett W. Henderson with whom she shared 62 years of marriage.

She attended schools there and graduated from Rochester High School in 1935. She was a former member of the Wesley United Methodist Church of Rochester, NH. She also graduated from Bryant & Stratton College of Boston.

Mrs Henderson was employed as a receptionist at the L. Porter Co. in Boston.

She met her husband in Boston (a former high school classmate) and was married and they made their home in Marblehead, MA. She became an accomplished seamstress of designer clothes.

Mrs Henderson was a member of the Hobbs Women's Club, the board of directors of the Y.M.C.A., and the Girl Scout Council, all of Marblehead. Both Mr and Mrs Henderson were very active with sports and young people. They have been residents of Marblehead for over 60 years.

Mrs Henderson is also survived by son James D. Henderson who resides in Hamilton with his wife, Joan B. Henderson and their son, James D. Henderson II. She also leaves four grandchildren and their families, Brian and his wife Kristie Henderson of Ipswich, Deborah Henderson of Gloucester, Mark Henderson of Littleton and Danielle Webster of Paxton.

Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2002 at 11 am in the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Tuesday, 5 to 7 pm. Burial in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead.
