McConnellsville, Oct. 3—Mrs. Melissa Kemp died at the home of her son Myron on Monday afternoon, at the age of 82 years. She was stricken with paralysis early Friday morning and had failed from the first. She had lived with her son since the death of her husband, which occurred on June 10, 1896. She was a member of the M. E. church and always attended service until failing health prevented, she had lived here for 50 years. She leaves five sons and one daughter. The funeral was held yesterday at 11 o'clock from the residence of her son. Burial in the local cemetery.
