LOGAN C. COLE, 90, of Beattyville, KY, passed away Monday, July 6, 2009 at the Lee County Care & Rehab Center in Beattyville, KY.
He was born December 4, 1918 in Lee County, KY, the son of Logan C. Cole Sr. and Minnie Samples Cole. He was a retired mechanic with the KY Dept. of Transportation and a U.S. Navy veteran and member of the Beattyville Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife of 69 years, Elizabeth Moore Cole of Beattyville, KY; one daughter Freddye Isaacs of Independence, KY; grandchildren, Tabatha Meade, Rachel, Garrett, Dylan, Cody, Paige and Lorna; two brothers, Ernest Smallwood of Lexington, KY, Bert Smallwood of Lawrenceburg, IN; two sisters, Sylvia Caldwell of Old Landing, KY and Ruth Frost of Nicholasville, KY.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Kenna; a brother, Bill Smallwood and two sisters, Nancy Marmo and Vivian Dugan.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 10, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the Newnam Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Alonzo Dixon and Bro. James Overbee officiating. Burial was in the Riverview Cemetery, Beattyville, KY.
