He is also survived by his 4 daughters; Vickie Albaugh (Julius), Lynda Roth (Robert Yount), Kara Roth and Danise Williams (Bruce). He was the very proud grandfather of Daniel Albaugh, David Albaugh, Melissa Lovrich, John Albaugh, Amy Kotzbauer, Joseph Yount, Kaitlyn Stephenson and James Williams. He was a sweet and funny "great-grampy" to 12 with two additional great grandchildren expected this year.
Daniel Roth graduated in 1941 from Washington High where he was captain of the football team and a member of the All-City squad. In 1942 he enlisted in the Army Air Corps where he served as a rear gunner and gunnery instructor with the 751st Air Bomb Squadron. He participated in campaigns that included missions over Normandy, Rhineland, Central Europe and the Ardennes. He was the recipient of the Air Medal, and an EAME Ribbon with 6 Bronze Stars.
Mr. Roth was a Machine Repairman at Allison General Motors and retired in 1988. He was also the owner/operator of a pool maintenance company for more than 20 years. He had been a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 years.
A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, he was born May 25, 1923 to George Havens Roth and Olive (Reese) Roth. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lawrence and Harold Roth.
