Sonya C. Smith, age 72, of Bradley, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Mrs Smith was born July 1, 1940, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Elvis and Helen Carter. She was a member of Plain Dealing Baptist Church.
Mrs Smith was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Eddie Carter, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of forty-three years, Richard Smith of Bradley, Ar; son, Dixon Smith, and wife Regina of Bradley, Ar; four daughters, Geyna Hinds and husband, Allen of Bradley, Ar. and Sonya Sales and husband, Larry of Leesville, La; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm, June 15, 2013, at Bradley Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Sales officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps Ar.
