Elwood E Klouser, age 79, of 1296 Creek Road, Pitman, formerly of Gratz, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2008 at the Mt.Carmel Nursing Center, Mt. Carmel.
He was born on Sunday, July 28, 1929 in Hegins Twp, a son of the late Albert Klouser and the late Catherine (Scheib) Klouser.
He was a laster for the former Muskin Shoe Co, Millersburg and retired from Penn Dye, Pine Grove.
He was a member of the Tri-Valley Bible Church,Valley View.
He was also a member of the Woodmen of the World Mahantongo Lodge, Pitman, Mahantongo Fire Company, Mahantongo Ambulance Assoc., and the NRA.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Arleda M. (Weinreich) Klouser in 1995.
He was also preceded in death by a brother James Klouser and two sisters Jeanette Morgan and Elsie Lohr.
He is survived by a sister, Ferne E Dietrich of Hegins; a companion, Doris A Knerr of Pitman; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services were held at Tri-Valley Bible Church, Valley View, on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dennis O'Brien officiating assisted by Rev. Andrew Weaver.
A viewing was held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
Burial was made in St. Andrew's United Methodist Cemetery, Sacramento.
