Death Notice

LIVINGSTON - Diane August 6, 2011; born in 1935, was the second daughter of Edward Kluge and Alma Ulrich. In 1943, her father died. Her mother independently raised and supported Diane and her sister Iris Kluge ensuring that both graduated from St. John the Evangelist Elementary School and South Park High School. With the tireless assistance of her mother Alma, Diane raised and supported her seven children while attending Buffalo State College, where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Special Education. After graduation, she had a long career as a fourth grade teacher at Winchester Elementary in the West Seneca School District. Diane has many teaching associates and former students from Winchester Elementary that are cherished friends. Diane was born on Seneca St., where she lived for many years and raised her family. She deeply loved her friends and neighbors of St. John's Parish in South Buffalo. Family was the most important aspect of her life; her seven children are D.J. (Terrie), John, Tom (Stacy), Mary Jo, Kevin (Trish), Kathleen and Dan (Jennifer). Diane was especially proud that all of her children were graduates of St. John the Evangelist, Bishop Timon High School or Mt. Mercy Academy. Diane had 13 grandchildren.
