Genevieve Rodeback Duncan was born May 6, 1921 in Cedar Fort, Utah, to Joseph Herbert Rodeback and Sophronia Elvora Chamberlain. Genevieve married Kenneth Lee Duncan September 6, 1941 in Boulder City, Nevada. Later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple, November 16, 1982. Ken was the love of her life and they shared a very special bond for 59 years. He passed away Feb. 1, 1999.
Gen was a devoted wife and mother. She opened her arms and heart to anyone in need. Together Gen and Ken provided a wonderful home for their four children. She had a special love of nature and wonderful green thumb. Her gardens were a source of joy for her and her family. She had a tender place in her heart for children, animals and birds.
Genevieve loved the Lord and was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by her children: Meledie (Larry) Gregory; Kenneth Lee Jr. (Laurel); Jolaine (Huck) Turner; Kim Robert (Lori); 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Maurette McDonald. Preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 25, 2000 at 11 a.m. at the Rolling Hills Ward Chapel, 1825 North 200 East, Centerville. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and again Monday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Centerville City Cemetery.
