Mr. Detton, a miner in Montana for more than 50 years, died Thursday [26 Jun 1969] in a Missoula hospital.

He was born Sept. 5, 1888, in Brigham City. He attended schools in Utah, but moved to Leadore in 1919 where he was active in ranching and mining.

Mr. Detton moved to Lima in 1940, and was active in mining for a number of years.

Survivors include his wife, Mabel; son, Don C. of Dell; daughters, Mrs. Gladys Owen of Missoula, Mrs. Marie Howard of Santa Ana and Mrs. Elva Olsen of Pocatello; brother, Joseph of Lewistown, Utah; sisters, Mrs. Elva Allen, Cove, Utah, and Mrs. Florence Pond, Lewistown, Idaho; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
