"Choir Director Honored
A reception was held at the Methodist church Wednesday evening honoring Mrs. Earl Cox, retiring choir director.
The affair was sponsored by the official board, which presented Mrs. Cox with a chair as a remembrance of her 44 years of service.
The musical program included vocal selections by Mrs. Cox's daughter, Mrs. Warren Luedke, Lombard, Illinois, and several local personnel. An orchid corsage was the gift of her family."

"To Miss Walbridge belongs the credit of leading the best drilled choruses of public and High school students ever heard in Whitewater. Seventh grade children sang part songs and the High school boys and girls rendered the difficult Waltz from Faust in an excellent manner. One of the best of the musical numbers was a baritone solo by
Earl Cox."
