Obituary of Shannon Jean Bailey-Brooks; Mrs. Shannon J. Bailey-Brooks, 20, died suddenly May 12, 2001 as a result of a tragic automobile accident in Copperas Cove, Texas. Shannon was born January 23, 1981 in Port Smith, VA the daughter of Craig Bailey and Joan Foust. She was a graduate of Avon Central School in the class of 2000. She is survived by her husband Leroy Brooks; father Craig Bailey (Stormy Leibenguth); mother Joan Mcarthey; sisters Erica Bailey, Megan Housser, Stacy Stowers; brother Michael Bennedict; step-mother Wanda Bailey; paternal grandparents John (Barbara) Bailey; maternal grandmother Joyce Foust; 2 step sisters Kelly, Lindsay Salisbury; 1 step brother Nicky Salisbury; aunt Beverly (Edward) Senecker; 3 uncles Mark Bailey (Sharon Warner), Frank (Melanie) Bailey, Gary Bailey (Jennifer Wooster); several cousins. Calling hours were held at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Avon. Her Funeral Service was held at the Avon United Methodist Church. Rev. Larry Beman officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Avon Central School (191 Clinton Street, Avon, NY 14414) in Shannon Bailey's memory. Interment Avon Cemetery.
