Deceased Name: Frank Mueller
CHRISTOPHER - Frank Yates Mueller, 90, died Monday, Dec. 17, in Greentree Assisted Living in Mount Vernon.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Before entering the military, he worked at Matt and Daltons. He earned his master's degree from SIU and taught industrial art at Johnston City High School. He then was post master at Christopher from 1956 until his retirement in 1982.

His family was most important to him, along with fishing and hunting.

He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Christopher.

Frank was a Life Member of Christopher American Legion.

He was born Aug. 15, 1922, in Christopher, to Frank W. and Naomi (Yates) Mueller.

Frank married Irma (Falcher) Mueller on April 12, 1947, and she survives of Mount Vernon.

Survivors include children, Mark and Rebecca Mueller of Christopher and Elaine and James Danielson of Christopher; grandchildren, Eric Yates Mueller and friend, Alexandra Ingersoll, of Christopher, Jeremy Frank and Rachelle Mueller of Mulkeytown, Tracy Elaine Skinner and fiancé, Cody Williams of Marshall; and great-grandchildren, Derek Mueller of Mulkeytown and Tyler Mueller of Mulkeytown.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be at noon Thursday, Dec. 20, in St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery in Christopher, with Father Peter Balili officiating. Interment will follow. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today, Dec. 19, and from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christopher American Legion and will be accepted at the funeral home
