FLORENCE-Funeral service for Mr. Marion Nichols, Jr. will be 1 PM Friday (today) in the Church of Christ in Lamar. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery directed by Peoples Funeral Service of Florence.
He died Monday June 10, 2013.
He was born in Darlington County a son of the late Marion and
Roberta C. Nichols, Sr. He attended the public schools of Darlington County. He was an employee of Willis Construction Co. and retired after 35 years of service in 2008.
He was a member of the Church of Christ where he served faithfully as a member of the Senior Choir and the Gospel
Travelers.
Survivors include;his wife of 41 years, Rebecca Harkless Nichols;six sons, Marion (Vanessa) Nichols, III, Harvey Nichols, Phillip (Sonya) Nichols, Travis (Farrah) Nichols, Titus(Rebecca) Nichols and Charvis (Natasha) Nichols ;a daughter, Felicia (Robert, Jr.) Solomon;three sisters, Johnnie Ruth Nichols, Sharion Nichols and Gloria (Leo, Jr.) Harkless;a brother, Jimmy Nichols;nine grandchildren and a special god-daughter Carmen Shannon.
