He was born Nov. 10, 1909, in Mississippi County to James Allen and Ida Carolyn Reagan Lovett. He was married on Nov. 6, 1934, to the former Lucille Pobst, who survives.
He had been a resident of Mississippi County all of his life and was of the Methodist faith.
Also surviving is a son, Jim Lovett; two daughters, Miss Connie Lovett and Mrs. Mary Lou Taylor; a brother, Ray Lovett; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Martin and Mrs. Norma Wicks; and three grandchildren. A granddaughter preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at the McMikle Funeral Home here. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
