Lavonne L. "Bonnie" Nachtrieb, age 81, of Sherrill, IA, passed away at 7:55 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital - Madison. Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Monday, June 17, 2013, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St. To celebrate Bonnie's life friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at noon on Monday, June 17, 2013. Burial will be in the St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery, Sherrill, IA.
Lavonne was born on August 28, 1931, in Preston, IA daughter of Adolph and Laurena (Yaddof) Lehmkuhl.
Bonnie married Robert Nachtrieb on May 7, 1950, in Clinton, IA. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2002. She worked for the Dubuque Community School District for 14 years. Bonnie was a former member of the St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Sherrill. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and reading.
Bonnie is survived by her children, grandchildren, sister, and 2 brothers.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son, Timothy Nachtrieb on July 21, 1978, and a brother, Lonnie Lehmkuhl.
