Age 79, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2003. She was born on October 12, 1924 in Ohio the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Sefcik) Tchaikovsky.
Mrs. Hyland loved her family dearly, and especially loved caring for her grandchildren.
She enjoyed working in her yard. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Hyland; second husband, Richard Bowerman; daughter, Judith; son, Joseph S. Hyland; sisters, Peg, Ann, and Mary.
Surviving are her children, James R. (Penny) Hyland of Portland, Jack E. (special friend, Bonnie) Hyland of Mecosta, Jon "Michael" (Janet) Hyland of Portland, Toni R. (Thomas) Kissane of Portland, and Tobi L. (Robert) Barton; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; many brothers and sisters; nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be conducted by the Rev. Marilyn V. Danielson, Pastor of the First Congregational Church of Portland at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2003 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland with interment following at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Portland Emergency Services Department in memory of Mrs. Agnes Jean Hyland.
