Married Ephra Mae Parker on 9-3-1924 in Hendricks Co., Indiana. She died in 1974

(Per David Smith)
from the Republican for April 2, 1942:

Rev. Lonnie E. Gray, well known Disciples of Christ minister in this county and also of Indiana, died at his home in Corydon, Monday, following a short illness. Rev. Gray became ill in his pulpit Sunday, and was unable to complete his services. He had not been in good health for a number of years, but his death came as a shock to his many friends in this community. The funeral was held from the Lizton Christian church yesterday afternoon at 2:30, in charge of Revs. Fred Kirchner and G. I. Hoover, of Indianapolis. Interment was in the Lizton cemetery.

Rev. Gray, age 40 years, was born in Virginia and came to Indiana with his parents, when a small child. He attended school at Pittsboro and graduated from the high school at that place in 1917. He received his ministerial education at Butler university. He was married to Miss Epha Parker of Maplewood about twenty-two years ago, at Beech Grove, where he held a pastorate. He later served churches at Sheridan, Tipton, Trafalgar, and Indianapolis. He had been pastor of the Corydon church two years.

He was a member of the Masonic lodge at Beech Grove. He was the youngest child in a family of eight children, four of whom are living, Mrs. Viola Scott of Indianapolis; Cleveland Gray, living in North Carolina, Kirby Gray, in Iowa and a sister who lives in the west. Other survivors are the widow and a son Donald.

Among those attending the funeral service from here were Mrs. Sarah McClain Money, a former high school teacher of Rev. Gray, Rev. Harry F. Lett, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Zimmerman, Mrs. Hallie Hughes, and mother, Mrs. John Bunten, Mrs. Marie Edwards, Mrs. C. W. Gaston and Lester Denny.
