WILLIAMS, Jefferson, Jr., 80, of Turkey Creek, went home to be with his Lord, October 28, 2002. Born in Georgia, he was a lifelong resident of Hillsborough County. He was a Christian and a member of the First Baptist Church of Turkey Creek. A veteran of the U. S. Navy, Mr. Williams served his country during World War II. He retired from the Seaboard Coastline Railroad after 42 years. He was active in the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and served in the positions of Local Chairman and Chief Engineer for a number of years.
Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Williams Herring. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Ohnie Williams; a daughter, Debra Williams Dambly of Plant City; his sister, Doris Leary of Sanibel, Fla.; grandchildren, Danice Talbert, Eddie Herring, Jeff and Lindsy Dambly; and great-grandchildren, Daniel and Allison Talbert.
Visitation will be October 31, 2002 at 1 p.m. with services following at 2 p.m. at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home.
