MENARD — Odessa Lucille Crisp, lifetime resident of Menard County, died Wednesday, April 12, 2007, in Menard.
Odessa was born in Menard County on May 2, 1919.

Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 14, in the Heritage Funeral Home chapel, with burial in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Granny worked at Menard Hospital and Heritage Funeral Home for many years. Granny attended Waddell School in Menard County. Her favorite pastime was visiting with family and friends and fishing in the San Saba River. Odessa was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jobe and Annie Mae Crisp; sisters Mae Elliott, Annie Lou White and Adell Wallace; brothers Clarence Crisp and AC Crisp. Odessa is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Sherry Crisp of Ingleside, Texas, Jerry and Sue Crisp of Menard, and Danny and Sandra Crisp of Menard. Grandchildren are Jimmy Wayne Crisp of Carlsbad New Mexico, Charles Lee Crisp of Menard, Jerry Don "JD" Crisp of Midland, Texas, Ronnie "Dimp" and wife Audrina Crisp of Rockport, Texas, and Shelby Belen Crisp of Menard. Great-grandchildren Kelli Crisp of Carlsbad, N.M., Trintonn and Alexxa Crisp of Rockport; special friends Minnie Deanda and Alta Clark; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Jimmy Crisp, Charles Crisp, Ronnie "Dimp" Crisp, Jerry "JD" Crisp, Grant Crisp and Lance Sides. Honorary pallbearers are Ed Keith, Joe White, Bobby White, Maurice Estep, Bill Wallace and Freddy Wallace.
