Kevin Rayburn Thornton, 56, a resident of Zachary, LA, died on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at OLOL Regional Medical Center. He was an employee of Performance Contractors. Visitation will be at the Zachary First Baptist Church on Friday, June 14, 2013 from 5pm until 8pm and then on Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 9am until services at 10am, conducted by Dr. Reggie Bridges and Dr. Wayne Barnes. Burial will be in the Azalea Rest Cemetery in Zachary.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brent Rayburn Thornton; his father, David Rayburn Thorton; his mother, Laura Dozier Thornton; paternal grandparents James Ray and Cynthia Thornton and maternal grandparents, Sam and Lela Dozier.
He was a graduate of NLU, a deacon and member of the Zachary First Baptist Church and an LSU Fan.
